- Rope and clothes pins (Our clothes took forever to dry so we opted for washers, dryers, or dirty clothes.)
- Spices (We had wanted to do some epicly wonderful camping food, but really that never happened.)

Things we needed: - Hand Warmers (This was the one item we should have used more.)
- Filtering Water Bottle (This item we had sent to us after having to boil river water.)

- Prettiest State: VA (yes “prettiest” and “most beautiful” are basically the same word but we wanted to give VA some credit too.)

- Land of Desolation and Never Arriving Promises: KS (Josh came up with this award, he hated seeing the huge grain bins miles away; and they never seemed to get any bigger.)

- Fanciest Drivers: OR (These guys knew how to dodge and weave around us and other cars.)
- Nicest Drivers: MO (They were nice because they gave us plenty of room on the road and waited patiently behind us.)
